Corporate Risk & Compliance Analyst

Job Introduction

This role will involve assisting the Corporate Risk and Compliance Team with their monitoring and surveillance duties.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsibilities will include undertaking routine daily and periodic tasks according to the ongoing monitoring plan.
  • To undertake periodic review of staff transactions for conflicts checks and to ensure staff adherence to the Code of Ethics. 
  • To assist with the periodic surveillance monitoring of Jupiter transactions in order to ensure there are no concerns with regards to conflicts or the market abuse regime.
  • To assist with periodic surveillance monitoring of email, voice calls, and other communication methods
  • To assist in the collating of management information for various committees and monthly reports
  • To undertake, or to assist in, various periodic monitoring reviews as directed by the Head of Corporate Risk and Compliance Assurance and to ensure that working papers are drafted to a satisfactory standard demonstrating sound testing.
  • To assist in various regulatory projects and ad hoc tasks as and when required
  • Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders across the Group in order to optimize the monitoring process.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of working in financial services, with experience of Asset Management desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and how they are relevant to Jupiter’s business. Knowledge of the Market Abuse Regime preferential.
  • Experience of using an order management system beneficial
  • Good communication skills; ability to liaise with employees at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong technical abilities and comfortable with a suite of data manipulation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with diplomacy and discretion.
  • Excellent team player with proven ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues whilst also being able to work independently where required.
  • Role will appeal to an individual looking to develop and build upon experience in Compliance within an asset management company.

Qualifications Required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
