Investment 20/20 Technology Apprentice

Job Introduction

The Technology Service Desk play a part in supporting Jupiter’s technology infrastructure by troubleshooting and providing advice for employees across the business. They are the primary point of contact for users with technology-based queries. Working in a close-knit team of 8, this role will give you exposure to a range of different technologies and is a great place to start you career in Technology.

Role Responsibility

In this role, your main responsibilities on a day-to-day basis will be to provide 1st line technical support; both over the phone and over email for both hardware and software related issues in accordance with internal procedures and to agreed service levels.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the progress of calls.
  • Providing updates to users.
  • Escalating issues to internal Technology teams and where appropriate external providers.
  • Ensuring all records are kept up to date and are accurate, including maintaining the call records in a timely manner.
  • Identify improvements to existing working methods and make proposals to the Service Desk Manager.

We are looking for the best candidate for each Investment 20/20 opportunity and have no requirements in terms of educational institute attended, subjects studied, previous experience, or grades achieved. You will, however, need to demonstrate in your application form how you have developed (either personally or academically) the required skills and attributes for the role.

Package Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Jupiter's Service Desk team as part of the Investment 20/20 programme. Investment 20/20 is an industry wide initiative designed to create more entry level opportunities into the industry and to provide you with the skills and experiences to help you start your career.

You and your fellow cohort members will join the company on 27th August 2019.

As an Apprentice on the Investment 20/20 programme, you will receive:

  • An 18-months contract in your desired role, with 20% of your time studying towards a formal qualification.
